Summary
Income Accounting Officer (Hybrid) needed in Bournemouth, £13.69ph PAYE - Reference: 5282394
- Ensure all changes to accounts are carried out promptly and accurately
- Control charges and payments in respect of Universal Credits payments.
- Notify residents promptly of changes to their accounts.
- Actively promote payment by Direct Debit, maximising payment by this method. Set up new Direct Debits without delay and monitor frequently to ensure amounts collected from bank accounts are accurate
- Advise tenants of changes to HB entitlements and make changes to accounts and direct debits as appropriate
- Issue Digital Payment Cards and Allpay payment cards
- Regularly check accounts for changes in benefits and overpayments requiring refunds
- Assist with recovery processes to support colleagues through peaks of workload
- Make arrangements with debtors for the settlement of arrears and to closely monitor compliance with arrangements
- Liaise with the client benefits teams regarding payments to accounts
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis
