Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per year
Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Langton Business Centre, Durham Way South, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 6BL (Applicants must be based in North East England)

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth through strategic planning and execution. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and capable of delivering measurable growth by targeting new markets, expanding existing accounts, and contributing to the company’s overall business strategy.

Responsibilities
- Identify Opportunities: Research new markets, identify potential clients, and uncover business opportunities to drive growth.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop Strategies: Create and implement strategic sales plans and campaigns to achieve business goals and growth projections.
- Pitch and Sell: Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and quotes to prospective clients to promote the company’s products and services.
- Manage Sales Pipeline: Track and manage leads and opportunities, forecast sales targets, and ensure objectives are met.
- Collaborate Internally: Work closely with sales, marketing, and other departments to execute strategies and provide feedback on products and market needs.
- Represent the Company: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and strengthen the company’s external presence.

Experience / Skills
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively during presentations and meetings.
- Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate deals and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Strategic Thinking: Capable of developing and executing plans to achieve business objectives and growth targets.
- Project Management: Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs relevant to the company’s sector.
- Level 3 or higher qualification
