Crynodeb

Are you passionate about shaping the crucial first chapter of a child's educational story?

Do you excel at using play-based learning to meet the Early Learning Goals (ELGs)?

Could you create a nurturing, vibrant, and challenging environment where our youngest learners in Leeds thrive?

If you answered YES to these questions, then Randstad Education is looking for an exceptional and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our partner schools across the Leeds area!

We are seeking fully qualified EYFS Teachers (ECTs welcome) for rewarding roles from day-to-day supply to long-term contracts and permanent placements specifically within Nursery and Reception classes across Leeds. As an EYFS Teacher, you will be the lead practitioner, responsible for planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework, ensuring all children make rapid progress across the Prime and Specific Areas of learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, stimulating, and play-based learning experiences that respond directly to the children's interests and developmental needs.

  • Observe, Assess, and Record children's progress using systems like Tapestry or school-specific methods, tracking attainment against the Early Learning Goals (ELGs).

  • Create a rich indoor and outdoor continuous provision environment that is safe, accessible, and promotes independence and exploration.

  • Effectively manage supporting staff (Teaching Assistants/Nursery Nurses), delegating tasks and ensuring quality interactions.

  • Build strong, communicative partnerships with parents and carers, regularly sharing information about their child's development and learning journey.

  • Identify and support children with emerging SEND or those who need focused interventions to meet expected development levels.

What We Look for in You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential (UK or recognised equivalent). Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with EYFS specialism are highly encouraged.

  • Specific experience teaching within Nursery and/or Reception is mandatory.

  • Expert knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework and effective transition to Key Stage 1.

  • Outstanding skills in assessment for learning within the early years context.

  • A high level of creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.

  • A fully enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) registered on the Update Service.

What Randstad Education Offers
  • Competitive Daily/Annual Pay Rate: Highly competitive rates of pay, commensurate with experience and the Main Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).

  • Flexible Work Options: Choose from full-time, part-time, long-term contracts, or flexible day-to-day supply work.

  • Dedicated Consultant: A specialist Primary Education consultant based in Leeds to support your placement and career development.

  • Free CPD: Access to online Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses focused on Early Years practice.

  • 'Refer a Friend' Scheme: Earn a generous referral bonus for recommending qualified teachers.

  • Local Opportunities: Placement in diverse, supportive, and high-achieving schools and settings across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
