About the Role
Hays Education is seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Northamptonshire and nearby areas. This is a great opportunity for individuals with classroom experience, including recent graduates and aspiring teachers, to gain valuable experience in a school setting while enjoying flexible working arrangements.
You'll be responsible for:
* Supervising classes during teacher absences using pre-set work
* Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
What You'll Need to Succeed:
* Experience working with young people (e.g., in education, coaching, youth work)
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* A proactive and professional approach to supporting learning
* Flexibility to work across different subjects and schools
* A genuine interest in education and student development
