Hours: 24 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, either 12:00–4:00 PM or 1:00–5:00 PM
Sunday: Day off
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support a 76-year-old woman living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). She is mobile with support, has lost the use of both arms, is PEG fed, and enjoys vaping. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in someone’s daily life.
Key Responsibilities:· Assisting with personal care, including dressing, toileting, and hygiene· Feeding support, including PEG feeding (full training provided)· Medication administration· Light household cleaning duties· Providing emotional support and companionship
Ideal Candidate:· Patient, caring, compassionate, confident, and flexible· Experience working with the elderly or individuals with Motor Neurone Disease is preferred but not essential· Willingness to learn and undertake training (especially PEG feeding)· Reliable and respectful of privacy and dignity
