A 61-year-old lady living independently is seeking a reliable, hard-working, and friendly Personal Care Assistant to support her at home and in the community.She has Multiple Sclerosis and uses a wheelchair. Transfers are carried out using a hoist, with assistance from one person.
Role Details
- Hours: 17 hours per week
- Days: Minimum of 3 days per week
- Times: Flexible – to be discussed at interview
- Assisting with transfers in and out of bed (morning and evening)
- Meal preparation
- Domestic tasks and shopping
- Supporting access to the local community
- Promoting independence and dignity in daily living
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential
- Full training will be provided, including safe use of a hoist
- A caring attitude and willingness to learn are essential
- Friendly and approachable
- Reliable and punctual
- Respectful of privacy and personal choice
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
