Who are we? Newmedica is one of the leading providers of NHS-funded ophthalmology services in England. We provide services for NHSICB, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, and other providers of NHS funded services. We deliver over225,000 patient interactions annually, including outpatient appointments, diagnostictestingand eye surgery. Our services are delivered through a variety of models including Managed Services and Ophthalmology Joint Venture (OJV) Partnerships. Purpose of the Role We areseekinga newand motivatedPrivate Managerto joinNewmedica North Derbyshiretogrow our privatepatientbusiness.The ideal candidate willbe commercially aware and have experience in Healthcare, ideally Ophthalmology. Excellent communicationskills, and a passion fordeliveringpatient and customer excellence.They will be at ease working with Privatepatients; tounderstandtheir needsandensure we delight our patients with outstandingservice and outcomes. The successful person willliaisewith self-pay and medically insured patients, local referring teams,consultantandadministrative teamstodeliver the ambitious growth targets that Newmedica North Derbyshire have for Private patient activity. Full or Part time applicants considered.Patterns of workcouldinclude weekends and an evening sessionto support the delivery of private activity as the service grows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and deliver a business development / growth strategy for increasing revenue from self-pay and insured customers in line withNewmedica North Derbyshiresbusiness plan. Developthe pipeline of privatepatientenquiries andconvert these enquiriestoinitialoutpatient appointments. Own and manage the private patient experience frominitialenquiryand act as the point of contact for patients throughout their treatment with Newmedica. Lead on providing patients withinformation around alternative treatment options based on their lifestyle preferences. Use tools and reporting provided to regularly review activity and revenue forecasting and tracking. Support Consultant appointment capacity being fully utilised by working with the SMT and attendance at keymeetings. Work effectively with theOperationalDirectorandSMT toidentifynew business opportunities and develop existing services to drive growth in line withbusiness plans. Ensure private patients and key stakeholders contractual requirements are met and we are delivering a consistently outstanding service, conducive to growth. Consistently reviewingpatient and service userfeedback to improve. Build andmaintainexcellent relationships with consultants and all internal and external stakeholdersin order tomaximise opportunities and encourage loyalty. Understand PMI networks and consultant inclusion. Provide effectivesupport to members of the admin team in the delivery of our private patient service. Developin-depth knowledge ofNewmedicaservicesand product offerings. Working closely with the clinicians, servicemanagersand clinical leads to deliver a premium service. SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES- Desirable- Sales and customer service experience with proventrack recordin customer relationship management and business development. Tenacious inidentifyingsales and business development growth opportunities and experience of executing delivery of challenging business and budget deliverables. Passion and proven ability to deliver an excellent customer experience for all patients. Confident in engaging and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong interpersonal,planningand organisational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Good analytical skills A proven ability to work in both a team environment and independently. Flexible and adaptable with a proactive and innovative approach to the role.
