Job Description
Live Life Aberdeenshire (LLA) has an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dedicated and experienced professional to join its creative team on a two-year fixed term arrangement.
You will be responsible for the line management of a small team comprising a p/t Creative Development Officer and a f/t Youth Music Initiative Coordinator who have full programmes of work and developmental remits linked to the Cultural Strategy and LLA Business Plan. These include arts and wellbeing initiatives, support for socially engaged creative practitioners, musicians and freelancers and coordination of key partnerships to maximise reach and delivery to targeted groups.
Key tasks will be to ensure obligations to external funders are fulfilled; development opportunities are researched, piloted and taken forward and appropriately resourced; coordination and evaluation of our innovative portfolio of creative projects across art forms and age groups. The remit also includes critical arts advocacy and sector involvement at a local, regional and national level on behalf of the Service.
You should
- Have experience of supervising, guiding and supporting creative teams with a commitment to ensuring an inclusive and accessible working culture
- Be familiar with standard monitoring and evaluation practices, with excellent organisational and management skills
- Be capable of working with minimum supervision
- Have substantial budget and financial management skills
- Have a track record of building and maintaining relationships across a range of individuals, organisations and partners with shared agendas
The successful post holder will report to the Cultural Engagement Manager for the wider LLA Culture team (Libraries and Museums Services, and Macduff Marine Aquarium). If you have excellent communication and relevant professional qualifications or transferable experience and skills, we would love to hear from you.
