Location: Trinity Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L20 3NJ
Employment Type: Temporary (Agency Worker)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Start Date: 17 November 2025 Duration: Initially 16 Weeks (likely to be extended)
Hours: 36 per week

Role Overview
Sefton Council is seeking a compassionate and proactive Personal Advisor to join the Care Experienced Team within Children’s Social Care. This role is vital in supporting young people who are preparing to leave care or have already transitioned to independence. You’ll work closely with them to ensure they have the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Provide practical and emotional support to care-experienced young people

Participate in the creation and review of Pathway Plans with a person-centred approach

Help young people access services and maintain their health and wellbeing

Promote independence, confidence, and aspiration in young people

Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with local procedures

Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies

Maintain accurate records using ICS and other systems

Represent the department in meetings and contribute to service development

✅ Ideal Candidate
Experience working with young people in a social care or support setting

Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment

Excellent communication and partnership-building skills

Organised, empathetic, and committed to improving outcomes for care-experienced individuals

Familiarity with ICS or similar case management systems is desirable

About the Team
You’ll be part of a dedicated and supportive Care Experienced Team within Sefton’s Children’s Social Care service. The team works collaboratively across agencies to ensure every young person receives the care and support they deserve as they transition into adulthood.
