ROLE DESCRIPTION

Newcastle College is seeking a passionate and proactive Library Lead to join our Central Support Service team. In this pivotal role, you will help shape and deliver library services that enhance the student experience, support curriculum delivery, and promote inclusive learning environments.

As Library Lead, you will take responsibility for developing and coordinating the learning spaces offer to support positive student outcomes. You will lead on initiatives that enhance student support, promote digital literacy, gather and respond to feedback, and raise awareness of the library service and its resources. Through collaboration with curriculum and support teams, you will help shape a student experience that is inclusive, engaging, and informed by student voice.

You'll also play a vital role in promoting the library through engaging campaigns and materials, monitoring usage and satisfaction, and contributing to the operational management of our library functions.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Level 2 English and maths
  • Significant experience working in an education/customer service setting
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and across our sites
