Job Title: Job Coach Pay/Grade: Point 22 Actual pr'd salary £19,851.31 Hours: 30hrs per week 39 weeks per year TTO Reports to: Head of Faculty-SEND, Learner Engagement & Ambitions Based at: Both Peterborough and Stamford
To work with young people with SEND to understand their employment goals and ambitions. To support young people to independently access and secure paid employment. Key responsibilities will be to establish effective links with employers, provide learners with realistic work placements, and monitor and support them while at work. You will also carry out relevant administration and produce risk assessments and reports on learner performance within the work place.Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following areas:To recognise individual’s strength and help match to meaningful employmentTo identify barriers to work and support young people to overcome themTo develop learners’ profiles and keep accurate records of support needsTo work closely with the SEND team to understand needs of learnersTo attend (where possible) and provide up to date records for learners EHCP Annual ReviewsTo be responsible for employer engagement with new and existing employers to create opportunities for our studentsMaintain excellent working relationships with employersComplete reports on student progress and carry out regularly scheduled work place reviewsGain feedback from learners, employers and guardians to continue to improve practiceTo complete Health and Safety processes effectivelyTo work with the general work experience team to follow processesTo keep up to date with new techniques and guidance to support young people into the world of workReady to make a positive impact on our campus community?
