Project Manager

Contract: Healthcare

Location: Halifax, HX3 0PW

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the transition and mobilisation of ISS services at Calderdale Royal Hospital, supporting both the current transformation programme and the planned long-term transition of services over the next three years.

This role will be highly visible, working in partnership with the onsite operational team, the Trust, and wider stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery during a period of major hospital expansion and change.

Job Description

As Project Manager, you will play a central role in driving delivery across a major programme of change, providing structure, visibility and momentum as the hospital enters a significant period of expansion.

You’ll bring together multiple stakeholders, manage mobilisation and transition activity, and ensure operational workstreams are aligned to time, quality and financial expectations.

This is a fast-paced, delivery-focused role suited to a self-motivated project professional who thrives in complex stakeholder environments, taking ownership of planning, coordination and delivery assurance.

No two days will be the same, with close collaboration across operational teams and senior partners as services scale to meet future demand.

You will also play a key role in aligning FM services to support this growth, while contributing to longer-term transitional planning as ISS prepares for contract exit over the coming years.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the mobilisation and transition of ISS services at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

Develop and maintain up-to-date mobilisation and transition programmes, tools and documentation.

Manage stakeholder engagement across internal teams, subject matter experts and business partners.

Produce regular mobilisation status reports, dashboards and progress updates.

Manage workstream activities to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to agreed quality levels.

Support the development of mobilisation-related KPI/SLA reporting requirements.

Plan, allocate and evaluate workloads across individuals and project teams.

Maintain a safe working environment in line with company policies and legislation.

Manage project resources and budgets effectively, identifying ways to drive efficiencies.

Chair and contribute to management and stakeholder meetings as required.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager (operations exposure desirable).

Excellent organisational and planning capability.

Strong financial awareness and experience managing budgets.

Ability to interpret complex data to inform operational decisions.

Proven stakeholder and client engagement skills.

Strong verbal and written communication and confident presentation style.

Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Comfortable using initiative and delivering to deadlines.

Experience managing management-grade staff.

Negotiation and issue resolution skills.

GCSE/CSE/O Level in English and Maths (or equivalent).
