Fixed term contract/secondment opportunity until 05/07/2026
Due to maternity leave an exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinician to join our team on a fixed term basis until July 2026 at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, a large state of the art teaching hospital. The post holder will work in our adult inpatient service, providing assessment and intervention for swallowing and communication impairment predominantly across the speciality of general acute (encompassing older people’s medicine, gastroenterology, respiratory, cardiology and oncology, ENT, trauma and orthopaedics) but will also include some input to the neurosciences and head and neck cancer specialities.
You will be joining a well-supported, strong team of speech and language therapists, who are well-established with a fantastic reputation throughout the hospital. The team is enthusiastic and innovative and committed to evidence-based practice. You will receive regular supervision, will have the opportunity to be involved in service development and research projects and attend regular team meetings. As part of our commitment to continuing professional development, we offer clinical skills development in conducting FEES and Videofluoroscopy. In addition, the team also has strong links with the University of East Anglia including the undergraduate SLT degree course and Medical School.
