A welcoming Primary School in North Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team and support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring, patient, and proactive practitioner who is passionate about supporting young learners to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with SEND in Early Years


  • Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, behaviour management, and progress monitoring


  • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development


  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment


  • Liaise with parents, teachers, and SENCOs to ensure children receive tailored support


    Requirements:

    • A Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching & Learning (essential)


    • Previous experience working with Early Years children and/or SEND pupils


    • Ability to provide two professional references


    • Have a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one


    • Available Monday–Friday, 8:15am–3:45pm
