The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Solihull from November 2025. This long-term assignment offers a fantastic opportunity to teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 for the right candidate.
The role involves full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment, and participation in department meetings. You’ll deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking among your students.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and reflective English specialist with strong classroom presence and a commitment to high standards. You should be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
- Experienced in teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Skilled at differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs
- Confident with behaviour management and fostering a positive classroom environment
- Enthusiastic, organised, and committed to continuous professional growth
