The Position
The primary focus is to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging English lessons. You will manage a full timetable of classes, responsible for driving exceptional progress and positive academic outcomes for all students aged 11-16. You are expected to effectively utilize both formative and summative assessment methods to guide student learning.

We offer a competitive pro-rata salary, paid weekly, strictly following the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS) based on your experience. The Ideal Candidate
We require a committed, enthusiastic educator who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.

Has recent, proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English.

Possesses outstanding classroom management and organizational skills.

Is passionate about the subject and committed to raising student attainment.

Demonstrates a strong understanding of National Curriculum requirements.

Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
Key Duties
You will be fully responsible for the learning and achievement of your pupils, including planning, preparation, and detailed marking. Other responsibilities include contributing to schemes of work, providing timely assessment feedback, undertaking a form tutor role, and actively participating in whole-school activities and training.
