We are searching for someone special with an interest in supporting our children with funding. You would be an Early Years SEND assistant or practitioner to join our SEND Team here at BS3 Community Development, based at The Southville Centre.
We are searching for a caring and motivated person to join our nursery team as a 1 - 1 support, for children with additional needs. This role includes focusing on specific children, following their education plans, working alongside our staff in the room and engaging with parents/carers. There will be support for training and guidance and the opportunity to ensure these children can access our curriculum alongside their peers.
We are seeking to appoint the candidate for 25 hours per week, all year round on a permanent contract. To provide a consistent support and familiar face, for children at our Southville Centre who require additional support and care.

Someone who has experience in working with children with SEND, and supporting Personal, Social and Emotional needs.
Someone with a minimum level 2 Early Years or Education qualification.
A passionate person who can provide professional love to children who need additional support. Who can be adaptable, empathetic and patient.
Someone who can build positive working relationships with the children and their families and work in partnership with parents.
A collaborative person, who can work with the SEND team as well as the room teams. Helping the teams in the rooms to support children and create reasonable adjustments.
An organised person, who can create plans for supporting the needs of a child and deliver high quality, tailored activities.
Supporting children with special needs and behaviour differences is a very special role. You could be the one to scaffold their learning, support their progress, enable them to gain independence, and help them to make friends.

Hours: 25 per week.Contract: Fixed term till July 2026
Rate of Pay: dependant on your qualifications.
Level 2 £12.70 Level 3 (recognised by DfE) £13.10
