Elwood Recruitment are recruiting for qualified Children’s Care Workers in Walsall.

Do you have a minimum of 6 months experience within the UK care sector?

About the role:
We are currently recruiting dedicated and experienced residential children’s care workers for a Walsall based complex needs residential service.
You will support and care for children and young people age 5-18 yrs within a residential environment. The service supports children and young people with severe learning disabilities, complex health needs, physical disabilities, sensory impairment and those that have experienced an acquired brain injury. You will provide dignified and respectful care to vulnerable children and work closely with the management team to follow support plans and activities which are designed around the individual needs of the young people. You will provide all aspects of personal care and use manual handling equipment in support of delivery.
Successful applicants will be:
· Supporting, mentoring and educating children with day to day activities to develop their emotional and social needs
· Developing personal and practical skills to enhance independent living
· Positive engagement to encourage children and young people in their development
· Reporting and recording key aspects of care and developing your professional skills as part of on-going development plan.
· Managing complex and behaviours that may challenge
· Support and engagement with a range of activities
On offer we have flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle, giving you full control of when you would like to work. Candidates can expect to be offered a mixture of earlies, lates, long days and waking nights on a weekly basis.
Essential Experience:
Care & Support Work: 6 Months in the UK
Essential Qualifications:
QCF/NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People
