Are you passionate about making a difference in young learners’ lives? Do you enjoy helping students build confidence and excel in Mathematics? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team and support students in Years 5-8 with their Maths skills.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our Mathematics and Support for Learning Departments to provide targeted support in Mathematics to pupils in Years 5-8. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a tangible impact on students’ progress and confidence in Maths.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the delivery of engaging and effective Mathematics lessons.
Provide one-on-one and small group support for students needing extra help.
Help prepare resources and classroom materials to enhance learning.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to the teaching staff.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support classroom management and behaviour as required.
What We’re Looking For:
A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
Strong numeracy skills and confidence in assisting with Mathematics up to Key Stage 3.
Previous experience in a school environment or working with children (desirable but not essential).
A willingness to undertake further training to gain a dyscalculia qualification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to inspire students.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting both students and teachers.
