We are looking for a part-time Premises and Finance Administrator to join our Premises and Administration team on a temporary basis until August 2026, based in the Art, Archaeology and Ancient World Library.
About the role
The Art, Archaeology and Ancient World Library forms part of Section 3 of the Humanities Libraries, which supports research, teaching and learning in Archaeology, History of Art and the Ancient World (Art Library), Modern and Medieval European Languages and Literatures (Taylor Institution Library), and Asian & Middle Eastern Studies (Nizami Ganjavi Library). You will be based primarily in the Art Library but as part of your duties you may need to attend other sites and work in other locations when required.
Under the supervision of the Humanities Libraries Finance and Administration Officer, you will be the first point of contact for building and maintenance related queries in the Art, Archaeology and Ancient World Library and you will carry out a range of administrative and financial tasks in support of the wider Humanities Libraries group. Typical finance tasks will include assisting with financial reporting and budget monitoring and providing advice on financial procedures and policies to managers within the Humanities Libraries Group.
This is a part-time, fixed-term post until August 2026. You will work 18 hours per week as follows: Monday to Wednesday 9:00 to 15:30 with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break. We can provide some flexibility around start and end times.
About You
You should have strong organisational and communication skills and demonstrable experience in providing a high standard of administrative support. You should have experience in a finance related role and excellent IT skills including the ability to use finance information systems and spreadsheets to analyse data. Previous experience in building management and in supervising and allocating tasks to others is desirable.
How to apply
You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting evidence form using the attached template as part of your online application. Your supporting evidence form should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the job description, and explain how you meet each one. CVs alone will not be considered.
We provide a supportive working environment and are always happy to discuss training and professional development opportunities. The Chair of this recruitment panel will be Elisabet Almunia, who can be contacted with enquiries relating to the role ( elisabet.almunia@bodleian.ox.ac.uk). General queries about the recruitment and application process should be directed to the GLAM Recruitment team ( recruitment@glam.ox.ac.uk).
Only applications received online by 12.00 midday (BST) on Monday 20 October 2025 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place in person on Monday 3 November and Wednesday 5 November.
