£35,412 pro rataGranby is a village school in the heart of the city, providing a varied teaching opportunity for the right candidates, in a friendly, supportive and child-focused context. The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint an inspirational Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work across the school but predominantly in the Upper Years. The successful candidate will provide cover for PPA and staff absence, as well as leading 1:1 and small group intervention.Granby has a fascinating history and is housed in a Victorian building, which opened in 1889. Whilst it is clearly of its time, we offer contemporary facilities and equipment to provide the best in current educational provision. With around 460 children on roll, and a staff of over 80 people, we are a thriving school at the centre of our local community. The successful candidate will: be able to support diverse learners and promote pupil attainmenthave strong behaviour management, interpersonal and organisational skillsnurture, cherish and challenge the children, promoting their safety, well-being and learningbuild positive relationships with children within a restorative frameworkbe creative, enthusiastic and resourceful with a passion for teaching and learninghave a strong commitment to inclusion with high expectations for all learnersWe can offer you: A 'village school' feeling at the heart of a thriving local community A diverse, inner city school where 34 languages are spoken A friendly, supportive team of staff and governors Parents who love the school and children who love learning A commitment to your ongoing professional development If you have the relevant skills, qualities and expertise, we would love to hear from you.
