Your role:
As an Assistant Streetscene Operative you will work as part of a Team to support the effective delivery of day-to-day Streetscene maintenance operations.
You will carry out a range of Streetscene duties to maintain a clean, safe and green environment throughout the borough.
You will provide exceptional customer service, be equipped at dealing with a range of customers, and be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Council when working in the borough.
You will lead by example in supporting the service and actively seek ways of improvement and support with suggestions for new ways of working and embracing change.
About you:
You will have the knowledge, skills and experience in an operational Streetscene organisation or similar environment, including working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements appropriate to the role.
You will demonstrate the ability to work flexibly, in line with service demands, working evenings and weekends when required.
You will be able to communicate well with colleagues and members of the public and work as part of a team.
You will have experience operating a range of plant and machinery including the full range of grass cutting equipment & powered hand tools appropriate to the role.
You will have the ability to obtain a ROSPA approved playground safety inspection qualification or the ability to demonstrate adequate knowledge and experience.
