Programme Leadership Lead as appropriate and provide support to the 6 Goals UEC National programme on behalf of the 6 Goals UEC National leads and National Director Lead as directed and provide support to an effective team to deliver the programmes objectives. Convene and service the 6 Goals UEC Board to oversee the system and transformation needed to achieve strategic aims. Ensure accountability of the programme NHS Wales Performance and Improvement and 6 Goals UEC Programme Board. Implementation and Delivery Collaborate with partners to create and update plans that improve outcomes for people using the UEC care system Oversee the implementation of workstreams and plans to ensure delivery. Establish performance systems to ensure transparency and accountability. Foster a culture of partnership, performance, and system leadership. Account for programme performance and outcomes alongside the Goal 6 National Lead. Communication Clearly communicate the benefits of 6 Goals UEC National Programme transformation for individuals, professionals, the health and care system, and Wales. Ensure regular, clear updates on the programmes progress across the system. System Leadership Identify and address barriers to implementation in collaboration with partners. Ability to engage and influence effectively at a very senior level including ability to challenge stakeholders and partners and internally Promote effective system leadership and partnerships, embedding these values in the culture. Ensure strong clinical leadership across the system. Build strong relationships across NHS Wales, Adult Social Care, Public Health Wales, the NHS Wales Performance and Improvement, and Welsh Government. Support the Clinical Network and Welsh Value in Health Centre in their expert roles. Align existing programmes to improve outcomes. Work with partners to ensure key interventions are implemented across Wales. Create a system-wide commitment to improving 6 Goals UEC National outcomes and Ministerial Priorities. Embed a quality improvement approach throughout the programme. Engagement Ensure meaningful engagement with people using the UEC care system and those at high risk, integrating their perspectives into the programme. Innovation and Improvement Identify opportunities for innovation, including service redesign and digital solutions, and champion their implementation to improve diabetes outcomes. Governance and Stewardship Ensure strong governance, performance management, budget oversight, and risk management within the programme. Deputise for the 6 Goals UEC National leads, and the National Director as required and act as an ambassador for NHS Wales Performance and Improvement. Professional Development and Leadership Maintain any relevant professional registrations and engage in continuous professional development (CPD). Participate in appraisals and support the development of staff to ensure delivery against objectives. Additional Responsibilities Undertake other duties as required by the 6 Goals UEC National leads, or National Director 6 Goals UEC National Programme. Participate in the staff appraisal scheme and ensure the appraisal and development of staff under your supervision.
