Bookkeeper | Hammersmith, London, W6 7AP | Full Time (Office Based) | 5 Days per week | Working hours are 9 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday, alternate Saturdays 10 am – 3 pm | £28,000 - £32,000 DOE

Our client is one of London’s leading residential property management companies. They pride themselves on delivering outstanding service to their clients and are continuously growing and expanding.

They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, client interaction, and being part of a collaborative team.

Are you the right person for the job?

• AAT qualified (ACCA part-qualified)
• At least 2 years’ bookkeeping experience
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts
• Proven experience in financial administration or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in financial software (ideally Xero) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
• · Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• · Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• · Assisting with quarterly VAT returns
• · Strong Excel skills, including formulas and functions
What will your role look like?
• Ensure the smooth running of the team by providing extensive administration support
• Handle utility bills, investigate disputes, and manage utility bill queries
• Send bills to the Accounts team for payment, maintain the bills log and filing system, and act as the first point of contact for energy brokers and utility suppliers
• Request meter readings from tenants
• Manage the council tax demands process for the property portfolio
• Manage change of tenancy correspondence to the council and utility providers
• Assist with the administration of tenants’ invoices and landlords’ charges
• Bank input and reconciliation
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Generating reports and data for daily, weekly, and monthly processes
• Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing
• Prepare financial reports and statements for management review
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial records
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and audits
