Our client is an international, employee-owned company designing and distributing colourful, easy-to-use, flexible USB document cameras, stop motion animation kits and clay modelling products.
They are seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s daily financial transactions, safeguarding the financial health of the business, and providing insight to enable strategic decision-making. They will also manage day-to-day HR administration on an ad-hoc basis.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and timely reports and solve problems effectively
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping or accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Xero and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency transactions
• At least 5 years’ experience in HR administration
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Friendly, approachable, proactive, with a good sense of humour
• Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team
What will your role look like?
• Manage daily bookkeeping and financial transactions across UK and US entities
• Handle multi-currency cash flow, VAT/GST returns, payroll, and financial reporting
• Support external accountants with statutory accounts in the UK and the USA
• Produce financial and sales reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, advisors, and HMRC
• Prepare and maintain employee contracts, records, and policies
• Support with appraisals, holidays, and absence management
What can you expect in return?
• Salary: £40,000–£50,000 (DOE)
• Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) profit share – Up to 12.5% per year and after one full year of employment
