Crynodeb

Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional looking to play a key role in supporting postgraduate education?

We’re looking for a Programmes Administrator to join the Doctoral College, supporting the Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) and Foundation Systemic Theory and Practice courses.

The DClinPsy is a three-year, full-time professional doctorate where trainees split their time between university study and supervised placements in NHS mental health settings. You'll be part of a dedicated team, working alongside two other Programme Administrators and a Programme Manager, as well as colleagues across the Doctoral College.

About the role

Key areas of responsibility include:
* supporting the full admissions cycle, from screening applications through to shortlisting, interviews, and final offers.
* maintaining systems to meet quality assurance standards.
* acting as a first point of contact for applicants and trainees, maintaining accurate records in line with University and NHS requirements.
* ensuring compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information regulations.
* assisting with events such as inductions and Q&A sessions.
* servicing programme committees and meetings (including minute-taking) on occasions.

About you

We are looking for someone who:
* has experience in an administrative support role (ideally in higher education or student administration but this isn't essential).
* brings excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
* communicates confidently and professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders (eg colleagues, non-specialists, senior managers, external stakeholders and, if you have an HE background, applicants, staff, and students).
* has strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and a willingness to learn University systems.
* (and if you have HE experience…) ideally has experience with platforms such as Moodle, SAMIS/SITS, or Business Objects (desirable but not essential).

Further information

This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in a highly regarded postgraduate programme. You’ll be joining a friendly, professional team within the Doctoral College, where your contributions directly support the success of our students, staff, and partners.

This is a part-time role, working 18.25 hours (0.5 fte) for a fixed-term period until July 2026.

We currently operate a hybrid working model and you will be expected to work on campus at least one day per week (currently Thursdays), with some flexibility required at other times (for example, during induction week).
