Eligibility criteria for apprenticeships are dictated by the National Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and the UK government. Within the funding rules it stipulates that to be eligible for an apprenticeship: Within these rules it stipulates that: (1) You must have been an ordinary resident of the UK/EU country for at least 3 years prior to the start date of the apprenticeship (which does not include time on a student visa) (2) You must have enough time remaining on your current visa to cover the full duration of the apprenticeship programme. (3) Not completing another government funded programme of learning at the same time as the Apprenticeship. We will be required to check the above eligibility criteria before an unconditional offer of employment, which includes the apprenticeship programme, can be made. You will also be asked to undertake an initial assessment if successful in securing this apprenticeship post. This will include a short English and Maths assessment to assess your current competency level, this is to identify whether you are able to meet the required entry criteria level for the apprenticeship. If a candidate is unable to meet the required entry level for the apprenticeship then they will be unable to commence the apprenticeship post. We as a Trust have no jurisdiction on the funding rules set by the ESFA or Government therefore unable to employ ineligible applicants into this apprenticeship position Some of the duties within this role will be: Using Microsoft Office to create and format documents.Responding to emails effectively.Sharing admin work from the team admin inboxes.Arranging appointments for clinicians and sending appointment letters and text messages.Answering the telephone, signposting or taking and distributing messages.Formatting and sending letters to patients and GP practices.Helping to arrange meetings and creating and distributing agendas and minutes.Updating patient databases with information and documents.Monitoring stationery supplies and raising purchase orders.Collating and distributing post.Supporting admin processes for medication prescriptions.Becoming involved in admin and service team meetings, both face to face and on MS Teams.You will be expected to undertake an apprenticeship qualification which involves weekly independent study with the support of a mentor.There will also be opportunities to become involved with all aspects of administrative work across the locality, including developing admin processes, and supporting the teams with achieving KPIs. This is an office-based apprenticeship role providing administrative support using a range of IT packages and equipment including PCs, photocopiers, printers and scanners. The role will involve sitting at a PC workstation for periods of time. Please note: the role involves working with sensitive information, which may occasionally be distressing.
