We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dynamic Administrator Assistant to join our Cancer Services team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a genuine passion for supporting clinical teams to deliver outstanding care for patients. Administrative experience is desirable, and knowledge of cancer services would be an advantage.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the Cancer Management Team (CMT) by providing effective liaison across the Cancer Administration Office, Trust departments, and external stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day office operations, including facilities and systems, to maintain an efficient and professional working environment.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective cancer service.
• Coordinate and maintain a rolling training programme for MDT Co-ordinators.
• Maintain a good understanding of cancer performance metrics and targets.
• Prepare cancer packs for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of critical information.
• Coordinate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), clinical harm reviews, and liaise directly with tumour leads to support service governance and improvement.
• Support the Trust Cancer Board and manage COSD (Cancer Outcomes and Services Dataset) data submissions and monthly updates, which are vital for performance monitoring and compliance.
• Handle telephone enquiries, prioritising and escalating sensitive or confidential matters appropriately.
• Organise and manage meetings, events, and conferences, including venue booking and logistics.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, drafting responses and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
