Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey? Do you thrive in dynamic classroom environments and enjoy making a difference every day? Hays Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) for secondary schools across Huddersfield and the surrounding areas.
About the Role:We are working closely with a number of secondary schools in Huddersfield who are seeking reliable and proactive TAs for short-term cover. These bookings often lead to long-term placements and even permanent opportunities for the right candidates.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting students across a range of subjects and abilities
- Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
- Providing one-to-one or small group support where needed
- Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment
✅ What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting (preferred)
- A genuine passion for education and student development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and a proactive attitude
Ideal Candidates May Have:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (not essential)
- Experience supporting students with SEN or behavioural needs
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Location:Roles available in secondary schools across Huddersfield and nearby areas in West Yorkshire. Start Dates:Immediate and ongoing opportunities available.
