We are working closely with University of Central Lancashire to assist with the appointment of a Administrative Assistant, on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.75 per hour
Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will provide high-quality administrative and technical support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider Estates Services department. This includes supporting day-to-day operations across Estates, Facilities, Car Parking, and Helpdesk functions. The post holder will act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, ensuring that all communications are handled professionally, efficiently, and in line with University procedures.
Responsibilities:
Arrange and service meetings, prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and track follow-up actions.
Maintain records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Process purchase orders and invoices in line with University procedures.
Support Contractor Management meetings, ensuring records are up to date.
Respond promptly to internal and external phone, email, and in-person enquiries.
Manage Estates Helpdesk queries, ensuring they are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
Qualifications:
GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths, or equivalent experience.
Requirements:
Experience providing administrative support to a large multidisciplinary team.
Proven experience in complex diary management, minute-taking, and meeting coordination.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database systems.
Experience working in a high-customer-contact environment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
