We are currently seeking a dedicated Year 1 supply teacher to support schools across the Runcorn area. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to work with young learners at a crucial stage in their development, helping them build the foundations for a lifelong love of learning.
As a Year 1 supply teacher, you'll be stepping into vibrant and welcoming classrooms where your creativity, patience, and ability to quickly connect with children will be highly valued.
You'll be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that support literacy, numeracy, and social development, while maintaining a warm and structured environment. Whether covering for a day or taking on a longer-term placement, your presence will ensure continuity and stability for pupils during staff absences.
This role is ideal for qualified teachers who enjoy variety and are confident managing the unique dynamics of Key Stage 1. You'll need to be flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different school settings with ease. Strong classroom management skills and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children are essential.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Key Stage 1.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their early development.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, structured learning environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different schools and respond to varying needs.
- Confidence in delivering pre-set lesson plans and engaging pupils in meaningful learning.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and resilient attitude.
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full right to work in the UK.
