Job Title: Business Manager

Ref: VLA 5278641

Pay rate: £26.93 per hour PAYE

Role length: Anticipated 5 months

Additional information: Temporary role with the potential to become permanent



The role:

As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the site operations, including financial management, business development, strategic planning, and team management as well as delivering effective & safe services to maximum operational efficiency and within budget.

You need to be available to start this role as soon as possible and have strong leadership and management capabilities, supported by IOSH Managing Safely and Level 3 qualifications or equivalent experience. You must be able to demonstrate expertise in business acumen, financial and risk management, project oversight and relationship building.



Key responsibilities:

Delivering efficient & profitable solutions
Driving innovation and change for customers
Lead and mentor a team of employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development
Develop and manage the site budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources & utilisation of the most efficient disposal and recycling solutions
Monitor financial performance, analyse financial reports, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth
Devise and implement strategies to improve profitability and meet financial targets
Identify potential business opportunities, develop strategic plans, and implement initiatives to expand the customer base
Identify and implement initiatives to improve business performance and ecological transformation
Formulate effective pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with customers
