What skills and experience we're looking for
This role is to work in the first instance in KS2 - Year 4. While experience would be an advantage it may be suitable for a capable ECT.
We are looking for a teacher who would like a new experience and the opportunity to work in a diverse and vibrant school, which has a team approach. Carterknowle is a highly inclusive, lively and happy school with a very positive atmosphere and ethos.
We are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner to our federation who can ensure high outcomes for our children. Drive, enthusiasm and commitment are all 'musts' here in our caring schools where we are focused on meeting children's individual needs. Candidates should have a good understanding KS2 practice as well as all equality issues. Candidates must share our vision and determination to have a cohesive community within our diverse schools federation.
We pride ourselves in supporting all staff in their professional development and we would look forward to supporting you in making the next steps in your career. The ability to lead a subject across our schools federation would be an advantage and there maybe a temporary additional payment for the right candidate.
What the school offers its staff
We offer
• a supportive and welcoming environment
• great team work
• excellent CPD
• a superb model of good practice in an infant school setting
• well balanced workload
• respect for teacher wellbeing
Further details about the role
Please email your completed application to: enquiries@carterknowle.sheffield.sch.ukFor the attention of Mrs Jolliffe PA to the headteacher.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people; we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose any cautions or convictions prior to interview. The amendments to the ROA Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are therefore not subject to disclosure to employers. The successful candidate will complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Children’s Barred List check.
