Crynodeb
You will take part in outpatient clinics as directed - at both PRUH and Beckenham Beacon sites. The emergency on call rota will be part of your remit. Assistance in operating theatres (both inpatient and outpatient) will be programmed into your timetable. ENT emergencies may need operative management and you will be expected to arrange urgent theatre slots and ensure that patients are adequately prepared. The Job requires the post holder to be able to provide care in a relatively independent way, looking after outpatients, day case, inpatient and emergency cases. The appointee must be able to work with others in a team to provide comprehensive district general hospital type workload. The Candidate will likely to work under guidance from all the ENT Consultants at some point during the working week. The precise timetable is subject to change to accommodate the department and the service. In addition to this, you will be expected to prepare for, supervise, contribute to and attend the departments academic, audit, morbidity and mortality and other meetings. There will be a 1:5 emergency on-call commitment in this post.
