The post holder will achieve this by:



· Supporting the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed behavioural modification care within the Intensive Support Team (IST), which provides rapid and intensive support to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism who are experiencing crisis.

· Being effective in a role that spans all NELFT boroughs and involves close collaboration with Community Learning Disability Teams (CLDTs).

· Working with both inpatients and outpatients to provide brief, low intensity evidence-based behavioural modification interventions based on a range of cognitive, behavioural and solution focused approaches. There will also be opportunities to become involved in service evaluation and audit projects

· Working alongside MDT colleagues in the Intensive support team for people with a Learning disability or Autism who present to crisis services.
• To provide (under supervision) behavioural modification input to a psychology/behavioural service to adults with intellectual disabilities, autism or both whose behaviours significantly challenge and place them at risk of an admission/placement breakdown. These individuals would be typically referred to and listed on the Adult Dynamic Support Register.

• Conduct behavioural modification assessments and contribute to formulations under supervision of a qualified Practitioner.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), trauma-informed approaches, and psychoeducational workshops.
• Support the development of safety and risk management plans to prevent hospital admissions and promote community-based care.
• Assist in service development initiatives, audits, and research projects.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to data analysis related to incidents and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and psychologist.
• Provide advice and training to care providers and support staff.
• Promote person-centred care and uphold the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Starting with NELFT(delete for internal only)

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

This post will be subject to a probationary period.



High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15%of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 - per annum, pro rata for part time),
