Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint a Wilder
Communities Officer - Urban.
As the Trust seeks to inspire more people to act for nature in their neighbourhoods, this a rare opportunity for an experienced
and motivated community organiser with a background in movement building to take on a role to ignite people’s passion for
Yorkshire’s wildlife and facilitate community led nature restoration in the heart of Yorkshire’s urban communities.
Using your knowledge and understanding of community organising and engagement, you will connect with, listen to, and collaborate
with a wide range of people, to build reciprocal trusted relationships at a local level to support individuals, communities, and
stakeholders to develop their collective power to act together.
By facilitating community led change, you will co-create nature-rich places that reflect local priorities, needs, and vision for
urban communities that are designed with wildlife in mind, inspiring more people to join nature’s side by acting together to help
deliver Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s ambition for a wilder Yorkshire.
If you are a collaborative team player and an exceptional listener with a passion for nature and a strong commitment to mobilising
communities to bring about the change they want to see, hold a driving licence and are willing to drive as required within
Yorkshire, then this is an incredibly rewarding place to bring your career.
