Job Title: RoRo Driver

Location: Widnes, Cheshire
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Salary: £19.93ph - Weekly Paod

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) Driver to join our transport and logistics team in Widnes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection, transport, and delivery of RoRo containers and skips to and from customer sites, transfer stations, and disposal facilities.

This is a hands-on driving role that requires a professional attitude, excellent time management, and a strong commitment to health, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate RoRo vehicles to collect and deliver waste containers, skips, or equipment.


  • Ensure all loads are secured and transported in compliance with road safety and company standards.


  • Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects or issues promptly.


  • Complete all required documentation accurately (delivery notes, weighbridge tickets, digital logs).


  • Adhere to all site rules, traffic laws, and waste management regulations.


  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, site staff, and customers.


  • Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle at all times.


  • Assist with basic maintenance or cleaning tasks as required.


    Requirements

    • Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV licence essential.


    • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.


    • Previous RoRo or skip driving experience preferred.


    • Good understanding of Health & Safety and load security.


    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.


    • Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.


      Schedule

      • Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work as required).


      • Early starts and variable finish times depending on routes.
