We have an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join the Norwich City Service Limited (NCSL) team. If you are highly organised, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

About the role:

The Supervisor plays a pivotal role in supporting the Contracts Manager by ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of operational workstreams, while fostering a customer-focused and safety-first culture. They lead a team of operatives, overseeing daily performance, resource planning, and service quality, while managing sickness, absence, and disciplinary matters in line with company policies. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, investigating incidents, ensuring asset compliance, and maintaining high standards across all operations. The role also involves mentoring staff, identifying training needs, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to KPIs, GDPR, and company values. Flexibility is required, including participation in the call-out rota and undertaking additional duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold an ILM Level 3 in Leadership and Management or equivalent experience, alongside IOSH Managing Safely certification and a valid driving licence. They should possess relevant qualifications or proven experience in their assigned workstream, with strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including asbestos awareness and CAT B removal. Demonstrated expertise in HR processes—such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and conflict resolution—is essential, as is experience in accident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate must be a confident leader with excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, capable of managing teams, resources, and schedules effectively. Proficiency in digital tools and IT systems, adaptability to changing demands, and a customer-focused, safety-first mindset are key. A flexible approach, high level of confidentiality, and willingness to travel within Norwich and across Norfolk are also required.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.
