We currently have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Apprentice Learning Support Assistant to join our team, providing key SEN support within the classroom on a 1:1 basis and working closely with other teaching staff to ensure provision is effective and that learning needs are met.Job overview As an Apprentice Learning Support Assistant, you’ll provide personalised SEN provision on a 1:1 basis, supporting the pupil in accessing the curriculum at an appropriate level and adapting the learning to make it accessible for students with specific needs. This role also involves providing pastoral support, and you’ll monitor progress to feed back to the class teacher whilst working closely with relevant staff to ensure an individual can achieve to the fullest extent.
We’ve partnered with BeReady, a trusted provider of online training programmes for school staff who will support you through the Level 3 Teaching Assistant with SEND programme. Job requirements A good general education including at least GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.Enrolment on the Level 3 Teaching Assistant with SEND programme. Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with pupils, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration, and demonstrate concern for their development as learners.Demonstrate and promote the positive value, attitudes and behaviour they expect from the pupils with whom they work.
