For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification Patient/customer care (both direct and indirect) Reception of patients Carry out tasks in delivering and supporting indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Ensure efficient administration of all aspects of patient admission to hospital is carried out in liaison with the senior nursing staff in Endoscopy. To ensure that patients receive written/verbal communication in advance of admission to hospital with special emphasis on client care. Ensure that in event of patient admission being subject to cancellation, that it is handled appropriately and sensitively. To be involved in the preparation of patient discharge, in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team. Where necessary ensuring transport arrangements are in place for the patient/client.
