Early Years Educator – Hyde Park Nursery (Forest School Setting)
Location: Hyde Park, W2
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 Pro rata (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Mon–Thu) & 8:30am – 12:00pm (Fri)
Contract: Term-time only

Passionate about Early Years Education and Forest School? Join a nurturing, term-time only nursery school that follows an eco Forest School curriculum, encouraging children to explore, discover, and learn through nature and play. This setting provides a warm and inspiring environment where children are supported to reach their full potential.

We are looking for an Early Years Educator to provide high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Forest School ethos, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities as an Early Years Educator:
• Deliver engaging and creative learning experiences in line with the EYFS and eco Forest School curriculum.
• Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment appropriate to the age and needs of the children.
• Promote children’s personal, social, and emotional development, supporting them to achieve their individual milestones.
• Carry out observations, assessments, and maintain accurate child development records.
• Work in partnership with parents, colleagues, and external professionals, building strong, positive relationships.
• Ensure full compliance with nursery policies, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures.
• Actively contribute to planning and preparing both indoor and outdoor activities, making the most of our Forest School resources.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and nursery events as required.
• Treat all children with respect, equality, and dignity, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.

Person Specification for the ideal Nursery Educator
• Minimum Level 3 in Childcare & Education and a strong desire to make a difference!
• The ability to deliver high-quality practice.
• A passion for outdoor learning and commitment to the Forest School ethos
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
