As a pioneer of their sector, it's crucial that their team all understand the importance of reducing waste & help find ways for customers to achieve it. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers across both brands and product ranges. You will start within Business Development and this will include all elements of customer service, business support and sales.
TRAINING:
When you first join this organisation your training will involve:
1, Time spent with key members of staff/management,
2, Working alongside experienced professionals within the operation to understand processes
3, Development of product knowledge and an understanding of the client base
RESPONSIBILITIES
This firm are looking for someone to work within a small office team, assisting with managing customer accounts and providing support in various other tasks around the office. This role reports to the Customer Service Manager and Managing Director. This role would suit a graduate who cares about sustainability and wants to join a firm making a difference to the planet.
Account Management & Sales Administration:
• Provide administrative support to the team, including sales order processing and handling inbound calls or requests
• Taking care of customer questions via phone, mail, online & chat
• Making outbound calls to prospects and lapsed customers to generate new refill opportunities
• Responding to customers in a timely, friendly, helpful & professional manner
• Helping to resolve customer issues & working hard to solve problems for/with them
• Maintaining records and tracking communications
• Assisting customers with placing orders and make product recommendations
• Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve processes
• Think creatively about potential opportunities
• Pitch in with other group tasks around the office as needed to maintain a smooth, efficient and positive work environment
• Take part in company wide initiatives, volunteering days, campaigns and office activities to help us achieve our goals to eliminate waste from the supply of goods

• Is degree educated and is a great communicator; on the phone, in writing & in person
• Is confident making outbound calls to new or existing customers
• Team player with a shared commitment to their values: sustainability, hard work, and kindness.
• Is forward thinking with a passion for sustainability
• Has a positive attitude. Professional, confident, and diplomatic when liaising with others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal colleagues.
• Works well collaboratively and is willing to support others in the team
• Is reliable, punctual, self-disciplined & responsible
• Efficient, organised and has the ability to multitask and can prioritise tasks effectively
• Is able to undertake tasks under direction.
• Receptive to feedback and able to challenge constructively
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop reconciliation skills.
• Has a sensitive eye for detail & is really great with customers!
• Is proficient with IT systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel)
• Has previous sales, customer service or administration experience in any sector
If you know how to write a good email, are passionate about sustainability, eliminating plastic waste and providing brilliant customer service, this is the ideal role for you. Ideally you will hold a full driving licence and transport.
This role will offer fantastic progression with the opportunity to go out and visit clients and develop your career within this forward thinking business.
HOURS OF WORK: 9 – 5pm Monday to Friday 1 hour lunch (flexible when visiting clients and travelling)
SALARY: 25-27k
HOLIDAY: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure (3 days given)
