Location: Reddish
Pay: £13.00 per hour (rising to £13.50 after 12 weeks)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 2:00pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm (12 weeks via The Best Connection, then permanent)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver to join a well-established wholesale food company based in Reddish. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate, working through The Best Connection for 12 weeks before moving into a permanent role with the company.
About the Role:
You will be delivering chilled and ambient food products to a variety of businesses across the UK - including 5-star hotels, restaurants, and hospitality venues. As the face of the company during deliveries, professionalism and excellent customer service are essential.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Multi-drop deliveries across the UK
- Driving a refrigerated van - monitoring and maintaining correct temperature settings
- Interacting with high-profile clients in a professional and polite manner
- Maintaining delivery schedules and ensuring accuracy
- Representing the company with a smart appearance and positive attitude
- Previous experience in refrigerated van driving
- Understanding of van temperature controls and procedures if temperatures drop
- Experience with multi-drop deliveries
- Excellent customer service skills
- Smart appearance and strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Part-time: Monday to Thursday, 6am - 2pm
- £13.00 per hour (paid weekly)
- After 12 weeks, pay increases to £13.50 per hour and you'll be employed directly
- Potential for overtime or extra hours in the future
