With over 60 years of experience, our client provides comprehensive design, installation, maintenance, and breakdown services across the commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation sectors.
A highly skilled Senior Refrigeration Engineer is now required for a supervisory role, suited to an individual with strong technical expertise and high personal standards.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Recognised qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration (e.g., F-Gas, NVQ, Safe Handling)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong technical background in refrigeration (priority), ideally with experience split 50/50 between refrigeration and air conditioning
• Proven experience in large commercial installations, servicing, and maintenance
• Around 10+ years of refrigeration service experience is preferred
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and customer focus, with the ability to carry out site surveys
• Natural leadership potential – previous supervisory experience is not required, but informal leadership or team-leading experience is desirable
• Highly motivated, reliable, and able to demonstrate strong personal values
What will your role look like?
• Providing hands-on engineering support in the Manchester / Bolton area, directly supporting customers
• Working as a standalone engineer in the initial phase, carrying out installation, service, and maintenance tasks
• Collaborating with the South Yorkshire Branch Manager to ensure refrigeration and air conditioning services in the North West are delivered to the highest standards
• Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent service delivery during regular site visits and client interactions
• Over time (approx. two years), progressing into a supervisory and managerial role, responsible for mentoring engineers, supervising service works, and managing refrigeration and air conditioning installation contracts
