East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) ensures the best possible quality of life and makes every moment count for children and families across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the family home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
In 2020, all three of our hospices; The Nook (Norfolk), The Treehouse (Ipswich) and Milton (Cambridge) were rated OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission.
Our people are central to our success. We have a talented workforce of staff and volunteers in Care, Fundraising, Retail, Facilities, IT, Finance, Marketing & Communications and Human Resources.
We’re over 440 employees strong, with a team of more than 2,000 volunteers across the organisation including over 50 shops and a Retail Distribution Centre.
Care Manager, The Nook, NR14 7PX
*A Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle is essential for this role*
Working pattern: covers a 5 day week alongside another Care Manager, may include weekends and/or shifts as required. Shifts will predominantly be 12.5 hours, 7.30 to 20.00 with flexibility to meet the service needs required.
Our service is provided in a 24/7, 365 day environment; shifts include weekend & Bank Holidays

Are you a compassionate and experienced nurse ready to lead and coordinate high-quality palliative care services for children and young people? Join our dedicated team at East Anglia Children’s Hospices (EACH) as a Care Manager at the Nook hospice.

• The support you need to enable you to provide safe and effective care and support to the children and their families who use our service.
Is this the right opportunity for you?
Are you:
• A Registered Nurse (Child) or equivalent with experience in children’s palliative care.
• An excellent communicator and problem-solver.
• Organised with strong time management skills.
Do you have:
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding.
• A current full, valid driving license and access to transport.
