Maintenance Engineer – Clayton Glass (Swindon)
Location: Blackworth Industrial Estate, Highworth, SN6 7NA

Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, rotating shifts

• Week 1: 06:00–14:00
• Week 2: 14:00–22:00

Salary: £38,309–£43,309 (dependent on experience)

Clayton Glass is a leading UK manufacturer of insulated glass units (IGUs), conservatory roofs, and specialist glazing products. We’re proud to do things differently — putting people first and driving innovation across our sites.

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to help keep our Swindon production equipment running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement projects. You’ll work with a range of systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, ELV circuits, and PLC I/O logic, using WCM tools to identify root causes and improve reliability.

Essential:

• Electrical maintenance/engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to read technical drawings

Desirable:

• 18th Edition certification
• IT literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication skills
