Summary
Pinnacle Group are looking for a skilled Gas Maintenance Engineer to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation for a patch of schools based in Swindon conducting planned maintenance and reactive repairs. In this role you will conduct thorough inspections of boilers, pipework, valves, and meters to identify potential issues and ensure safe operation.
You will be joining our Total FM team based in Swindon. The Total FM team provides integrated asset management and maintenance services across the education, leisure, corporate, health and living sectors to ensure facilities operate at their best.
This is a full-time role with a rotating shift pattern of 7AM-3PM and 12PM-8PM, Monday-Friday.

Key responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled servicing and safety checks on gas appliances, heating systems, and associated equipment across school sites.
- Diagnose and repair faults in gas systems promptly to minimise disruption to school operations.
- Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and health & safety standards, maintaining accurate records and certifications.
- Conduct thorough inspections of boilers, pipework, valves, and meters to identify potential issues and ensure safe operation.
- Respond swiftly to gas-related emergencies, including leaks or system failures, ensuring the safety of staff and students.
- Communicate professionally with school staff and site managers, providing updates on work progress and safety advice.
Key requirements:
- Commercial Gas certificates required
- Experience and knowledge of building services and facilities engineering.
- Good health & safety knowledge
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
