Are you an experienced Employment Law Solicitor looking for an exciting opportunity to shape and grow a new department within a respected London practice?
Our client is a dynamic and growing London practice dedicated to achieving justice and delivering outstanding results for its clients. They specialise in Housing Law, Public Law, Discrimination, Employment, and Debt Matters, and proudly serve clients across London.
As part of their expansion, the firm is launching a dedicated Employment Law department offering an ambitious solicitor the chance to play a key role in driving forward this new practice area while supporting clients in protecting their rights and challenging unfair practices.
Are you the right person for the job
• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (minimum 3+ years PQE)
• Strong understanding of employment law and proven experience advising clients
• Experience handling LAA-funded matters and meeting billing targets
• Excellent drafting, research, and advocacy skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and client care
• Strong IT skills, including familiarity with case management systems and Microsoft Office
• Supervisory experience is desirable but not essential
• Proven experience managing Legal Aid cases with strong proficiency in the Client and Cost Management System (CCMS)
What will your role look like?
• Advising clients on all aspects of employment law, including rights, claims, and progression of cases
• Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements
• Conducting legal research and drafting clear, concise arguments
• Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and tribunals, including advocacy where required
• Supervising and supporting junior team members where appropriate
• Managing a varied caseload while maintaining full compliance with Lexcel standards and Legal Aid regulations
