Heathfield Schools’ PartnershipSEND Teaching AssistantContract – Fixed Term, for one year initiallyHours – 28.33 per week / 39 weeks per annum, term time onlySalary – Scale 4 from £30,285.00 - £31,610 calculated pro rata on a full-time contract of 36 hours per week, 52 weeksWe are looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support children with SEND across our school partnership. The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality support and interventions.Heathfield is a federated Infant and Junior school where every child feels important, succeeds and aspires to something greater. We are proud of the support we offer to children with SEND. We have a dedicated team of experienced Teaching Assistants led by our TA Team Leader. We have high expectations of our children with SEND and work in partnership with families to ensure they achieve their very best. We are actively seeking candidates who are looking to develop their support skills further within a school context.The successful candidates will have the following attributes:GCSE English and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalentAble to work effectively independently and as part of a team Good communication and organisation skillsCaring and inclusive attitude towards pupils, parents and staffA high standard of literacy and numeracyExperience of working within Reception and/or KS1 to develop children’s early reading and phonicsICT skills to manage the requirements of the post with confidenceHave good practical skills and an attention to detailAre willing to take part in training and personal developmentClosing Date: Friday 10th October 2025 at 12pmInterviews will take place the following week.Completed applications can be posted to the school or sent via email to Christine Bhika at the school.Visits to the school can be arranged by telephoning the schoolPlease note that all applications must be submitted using the application form, CVs will not be accepted.Heathfield Schools’ Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
