⚖️ Admin Officer - Listings Team
Location: Wood Green Crown Court
Duration: Until February 2026 (with potential extension)
Pay: £14.75 per hour, 37 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Contract: Temporary, via Brook Street

Wood Green Crown Court is responsible for handling some of the most serious criminal cases in London. The Listings Team plays a vital role in ensuring that cases are scheduled and managed effectively so that justice is delivered without delay.
As an Admin Officer in the Listings Team, you'll be at the heart of this process, supporting judges, court staff, and external stakeholders to ensure hearings are accurately listed, changes are communicated quickly, and case progression runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities-
Court Listings & Scheduling - Manage the court diary, allocate cases to judges/courtrooms, and adjust schedules where required.

Case Progression Support - Track cases through the system, ensuring that files are up to date and hearings are ready to proceed.

Communication & Liaison - Work closely with the judiciary, legal professionals, probation, CPS, defence teams, and other stakeholders to confirm dates and resolve queries.

Document & Data Management - Maintain electronic and paper records, upload files to court systems, and ensure data accuracy.

Handling Queries - Respond to telephone, email, and counter enquiries promptly and professionally.

Processing Court Orders - Draft, process, and distribute court orders following hearings.

General Administration - Support the wider court team with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, photocopying, and correspondence.

Ad-Hoc Duties - Provide additional support to senior staff and judiciary as required.

Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and case management systems.

Strong organisational ability to manage complex schedules and deadlines.

Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling sensitive case information.

A professional, proactive approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

This role is fully office-based at Wood Green Crown Court - no hybrid or remote working.

All successful candidates must complete security clearance (approx. 2-3 weeks).
